As first-time parents, we found ourselves co-sleeping with our daughter longer than planned. We enjoyed having her so close to us, but by 9 months, the lack of sleep started to wear on us. We thought the only way to remedy our situation would be through a harsh cry-it-out method, which we were uncomfortable doing. When Nicole reached out to us, she informed us there were many methods we could explore. She didn’t apply any pressure, took time listening to our concerns, habits, and preferences, and presented a “shuffle method” tailored to our needs that made us feel comfortable in making a change. This helped us ease our daughter into transitioning to the crib, gradually further from our bed, and eventually into her own room with no more nighttime feedings. We were scared to take the plunge, but shocked at how quickly and seamlessly everything went! Nicole was gentle and thorough in our daily communication, and knew exactly how and when to offer the support and encouragement we needed at various times. We committed to trusting her advice and direction for 2 weeks and are so glad we did. We are sleeping so well now and feel comfortable with the positive impact this will have on our daughter’s independence.
